Kimberly Rasmussen
Principal / Preschool Director
1 John 3:1 says, “See what love the Father has lavished on us that we should be called children of God, And that is what we are”; That makes us royalty!
I am incredibly blessed. I have had the honor of working in Lutheran schools for 29 years! I received my BA in Psychology and Early Childhood Education from Concordia University, in Irvine, California. I earned my Masters in Education with an emphasis in Early Childhood from Concordia University, St. Paul, Minnesota. I also have a second Masters degree from Western Governors University in Educational Leadership. I have a New Mexico level 3 teaching license for both Early Childhood Education and K-8th grade, as well as a Level 3 administrator's license.
I am married to Marty, a marriage and family therapist. I have two grown sons, two old cats, a lab mix named Miss Ruby Tuesday, and a beloved chihuahua named Skippy Jon Jones.
Colossians 3:17, “Whatever you do whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to the Father through Him.”; I firmly believe it is an honor to work with God’s children and their families and I’m grateful to be serving Christ at Christ Lutheran Church and School!

Beth Shroff
Music & Choir
I have been playing the piano since I was five years old. I grew up at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Nederland, Texas, and attended Trinity Lutheran School in Port Arthur, Texas, from Kindergarten thru 8th grade. Church organists and choir directors at both places were my mentors. They taught me to use my talents in service to our Lord from a very young age.
I went on to receive a Bachelor of Music Education degree from Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas. I met my husband Jerry there. We have two grown daughters and two wonderful sons-in-law.
I began working at Christ Lutheran Church and School in 1999. My responsibilities have expanded over the years. They now include planning the worship services, playing piano or organ for all worship services, directing adult choir, bell choir, and middle school choir, and teaching music to the elementary grades.
Music is a universal language! It is filled with emotion. It is an expression of our praise and thanks to God for all His love and faithfulness. It is a way we can proclaim the saving message of salvation through Jesus. I love teaching and sharing my love of music with all those worshiping and learning at Christ Lutheran Church and School!

Janine Morford
Church Secretary
It is only to the glory of God that I have been given this position to be Church Secretary of Christ Lutheran Church. I have been a believer in Jesus Christ ever since I was little and grew up in the church. It is where I met my husband and where we got married. We have two beautiful children, Charlie is our daughter and Matthew is our first born who attends Christ Lutheran School. It is such a blessing to serve this church and to be able to send my kids to a school with a Christ-centered education.
I enjoy all that this job entails and being able to help others in any way I can. Outside the office, I enjoy spending time with family, going shopping, cooking, and watching movies.
I love what Matthew 10:31 says, “Fear not, therefore: you are of more value than many sparrows.” There are several verses in scripture that talk about God even taking care of the birds and so we should not worry but be assured that God will provide for us. Just by watching the birds in the air we can be reminded that we are important to God and He will take care of us.
